RESTAURANT/CULINARY APPLICATION
A TASTE OF NEWTON 2021

2021 Theme: “From The Garden” (featuring produce grown in Sussex County)

Participants should bring sample-sized servings of specialized dishes that represent your restaurant. These might include appetizers, entrees, salads or desserts. Service is done buffet-style from your station. You should package/present your items as individual servings and provide eating utensils as needed. No alcohol permitted! We anticipate 300 attendees.

You will be provided with two 6-foot tables. You must bring all safety and serving equipment, including hand and face coverings, and all other sanitary items as required to serve outdoors per the Department of Health's Protocols for Outdoor Dining, Executive Order No. 157, Executive Order No. 183, or whatever current guidance is in place at the time of the event. You may also bring tablecloths, decorations, and marketing materials to promote your establishment.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER WITH THE SUSSEX COUNTY DIVISION OF HEALTH BY AUGUST 23. If you are preparing all the food inside your restaurant and simply serving at the event, there is no need to submit a temporary food application. If there is any food preparation done outside, then you need to submit the temporary food application & appropriate fee to the County. A $100 refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. This will be refunded to you immediately following your successful participation in the event. Restaurants that are no-shows or depart early will not have their deposit refunded.

Restaurants may begin setting up at 3:30 PM, must have cars moved by 4:30 PM, and must be completely set up by 5:00 PM. Service begins at 5:30 PM sharp and ends at 8:30 PM. We ask that you remain serving at your station for the entire event. Restaurants that break-down their stations prior to 8:30 PM will not have their deposit refunded.

Participating restaurants will receive 4 Vendor Tickets for your staff to use during the event. Also, as a special offer, if you are currently or become a member of the GNCC by September 1st, you’ll receive an additional 2 Tickets to the event.

Lastly, we are offering the guests Door Prizes at the end of the evening. Please consider donating a gift certificate or prize package to further promote your business.
